Distanced Dim Sum Style Service
- August 26th Farm Dinner at Lone Hawk -
To us, a farm dinner has less to do with sitting at a long table and more to do with enjoying a menu made out of necessity or abundance. Even both.
Whether we’re working with a little or a lot, variety is the natural result. We can’t make a ton of one dish if we’re working with limited amounts. On the other hand, we’ll make many different versions if we have an abundance of ingredients and time.
When we harvest, we use it all. The odds, the ends, and the major haul.
While we find ways to feel together at an arm’s length, this year’s annual dinner at Lone Hawk Farm will borrow from the Dim Sum format. Round after round of small, covered portions brings lots of surprises that play with limitation and abundance. This format is not ours, but it is one we respect and enjoy enthusiastically, and so we’ll bring you an homage from a dumpling-obsessed chef from Georgia, a Longmontian farm, and a staff ready to serve you in a way that makes you feel taken care of.
We’ll be announcing the details associated with this menu — from bites to beverages — but if you’re already into this sampling of ideas, email events@gbculinary.com for tickets ($125/Guest before optional alcoholic pairings). Seating is limited and parties are far flung.
